Engaging Consumers’ Interest In Farm Equipment

May 20, 2025

Canadian Food Focus represents Canadian grown food and agriculture from coast to coast to tell our stories, answer specific questions and address issues related to how food is grown and raised. Within a single platform, we demonstrate how the sector is working together to share the story of Canadian food with consumers.

One of the stories we are working on is interesting, fact-based reels and articles about different types of farm equipment in partnership with several agriculture equipment suppliers. The articles are researched and written by Magpie Group, a team of professionals and regular CFF contributors who share a passion for communicating agriculture science-based information.

“People are interested in how food gets from farm to plate and part of this story is the equipment used to get it there. We are working with the equipment sector to share information and videos about different types of farm equipment and how they are used on farms in Canada,” said Dorothy Long, Managing Director of Canadian Food Focus.

To date, our equipment series features articles and reels on tractors, feed mixers, grain bins, grain dryers and augers. We have been pleased to work with footage and photos supplied by AGI, Versatile, Western Grain Dryer, Co-op Agro, and Vermeer. The articles and reels explore what the equipment is used for, how the equipment works and the different types available to farmers. The articles and reels are shared on several Canadian Food Focus social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok.

“The different types of farm equipment are incredibly interesting, especially to people not familiar with farming. This type of content really helps draw people to our site and provides consumers with a window into the world of agriculture. Farmers have such a compelling story to share,” Long added.
